Back to life...back to reality...

So, I know that I have promised more regular posting, but man, has life been crazy! Work, hanging out with friends and catching up with people since the wedding, writing thank-you's, cleaning the house, knitting...it never ends! I have been working on a few projects so i'll share a few of them here. First, several good friends of ours are having babies (I know, I know, but I swear it's not gonna happen for us for a while), and I am having fun knitting mini versions of adult clothes...like this leetle bebe sweater here:

So cute!!!

I've also slowly but surely been cranking along on the other half of my bridesmaids gifts. I'm hoping to have them ready for them by the holidays...

They are from a pattern out of a new Knitting book called Brave New Knits by: Julie Turjoman. She interviewed 26 popular knit-bloggers and included an original pattern from each one in the book. The pattern I am knitting is the Hydrangea Neckwarmer by Anne Hanson There are some great patterns by some of my fav's including Jordana Paige, Jared Flood of Brooklyn Tweed, and probably my all-time favorite designer Ysolda Teague. Her shawlette the Orchid Thief, is a must-knit for me...but I am waiting until after the holidays!

Anyway, so Julie Turjoman is going to be at Jimmy Beans Wool next week doing a book signing! So exciting! Apparently, she is good buddies with Sandy, one of my co-workers, which is pretty cool! I'm excited to meet her and hear stories of her knitting adventures!

So that's what i've been up to in the knitting realm. I've got a whole bunch of projects up my sleeve for the holidays so more on that soon...

Today though, I will leave you with this little snippet from our wedding... It's probably my favorite memory of the whole night. "Don't Stop Believing" was playing, and in those first few build-up moments of the song, the crowd started to gather into a giant circle with everyones arms on each others shoulders...the circle grew to about 40 people in total... we sang the whole song together... It was amazing!

Happy Friday!
