What i've been knitting in this hot, hot heat...

So, of course, I waited until summer to start knitting this afghan for my friends Josie and Cyrus' wedding gift. Since it is pretty small, I am hoping i'll be done with it soon as it is about 1000 degrees here and knitting with worsted weight wool is becoming increasingly more uncomfortable. It is however, one of the most fun and interesting projects i've taken on in a while. I am making a Hemlock Ring blanket for them. These are some photos from a few weeks ago. I am now much further along. See the purty flower?

I think next I am going to start plowing through some stuff for the wedding. I have some beautiful aqua blue alpaca to make a shrug of my own design to wear after it cools down at night up at the ranch. It will look quite nice with my lovely gown and my red cowboy boots...

I also have a Parents gift to make--another Hemlock ring in a cream color, and bridesmaids and groomsman gifts as well... so much to do and so little time! At least these projects will be a little smaller and not quite as heatstroke inducing!

Happy weekend everyone!
