My job allows me to do cool stuff...

So, I mentioned earlier in the week that I spent last weekend at Lake Tahoe. I spent last weekend at Bliss State Park on the west shore of the lake co-leading a Leave No Trace Trainer course. Some of you may remember that I got my Master Educator certification this last spring, and this was the first time really I used it since that training. Lake Tahoe is one of the most beautiful places i've ever been lucky to spend time at, so this training was sort of a no brainer. Although I did have a bear break into my car, it was a pretty good weekend. Yes, that's right, I said bear. Well, it was my fault, I forgot about some Oreos that were in the car. I was supposed to leave them at the office last Friday, but sadly I forgot. Luckily, Mr. Bear decided that he just wanted to eat the Oreos and not the rest of the inside of my car. He merely broke a window, helped himself to the cookies, and left. Not too bad if you ask me considering that bears in the Sierra's are known for doing much more then that. So anyway, here are a few of the cool landscapes my eyes got to feast on last weekend...

This next week i'll be leading a Youth Backcountry Camp on the Tahoe Rim Trail. Three days in the woods with middle school girls! So exciting! I love seeing the girls learn new skills and try something different than their everyday norm of iPods and video games. It makes me feel like i've accomplished something in my day. Have a great rest of your weekend!
