Well, I've been meaning to post about some of this stuff for a while so I figured I better get to it. I've been seeing a lot of knitted Baktus' out in the blogosphere, so I figured I needed to knit one too... So I pulled out some lovely Mini Mochi sock yarn that I had purchased a while back from Jimmy Beans and got to work. I actually finished it since I took this photo and I love it! It's been perfect to wear as I think we have had the coldest spring EVER here in Reno...and it's supposed to rain again this weekend! Geez! I guess we are going straight from Winter to Summer here in the high desert this year. Bummer... I really love the shoulder seasons.
A couple of weeks ago, Nick and I started looking on Craigslist for some cute patio furniture. We didn't really want to spend a whole lot of money and were willing to take on a project if needed. Well, we found this cute little set and when we answered the ad, it turned out to be someone we are acquainted with! She knocked another $10 off the price so we score this cute little set for $40! All it needs is a good sanding, a coat of paint and some me-made cushions and we are in business! So happy to have a fun little project like this again. I loved redoing this dresser last year.
Lastly, as usual I find myself drooling over Anthropologie's newest collections... I could happily fill my house with little treasures from their home collection... This time though it's all about the dresses and cardigans. I just love all the girly details of these items...excuse me as I slurp up some of my drool...I just need to keep telling myself that I don't need them...
This weekend, Nick and I will be attending the annual member potluck for the local food co-op here in Reno which we are very excited about. Should be a fun evening of friends, like minded community members, good food and music. I will also be knitting (as usual), baking bread, and catching up on some reading for the new Anthroposophy Study Group I just joined. I have decided to start working towards becoming a Waldorf teacher so this is my first step in that direction. Have a beautiful weekend everyone!
